Message Centre - Currently this will read "Deviant ~ThatCrowGirl has no message centre items". Whenever you get a comment on your work, it will appear here as well as on your deviation. It's really just to simplify replying to messages. Other things can appear here such as answers to help requests and important news topics. Ths sidebar on the right also gives you links where you can further manage your gallery.
Logout - If you wish to logout from deviantART, click this link at it will do so. You can then log back in the input boxes at the top of any deviantART page.
Top Right Options
Search - This function is a subscribers-only feature which enables you to search within deviantART for art that interests you. You can use Google, but it is far less accurate.
Journal - This is your journal button and is a link to your journal management page where you can add, edit and delete your journals.
Profile - This page is where you can input infomation about yourself, set a personal avatar and comment signature, and set up what is viewed on your userpage such as your ID, email addresses, Feaured Deviation and more.
Settings - This is your settings page for deviantART where you can customise your name, password and location, how you browse art, and how comments are displayed. Play with these to find a set-up that suits you.
Your Userpage
This is your page that people usually view when they come to see your art. It is where you can make first impressions, so make it a good one!
Your Gallery - When you submit artwork it will appear in either here or your Scraps, depending on where you want it.
Journal - This is where people can view journals about pretty much anything you want...your art work, events in your life or outside.
People can also leave comments for you directly on your userpage...check them regularly!

You get a few more buttons in this page related to the deviant...
Activity - This just enables you to see what that deviant has been commenting on last.
Send Note - This enables you to send private noted to other deviants, without anyone else seeing.
+deviantWatch - This is a special function that enables you to "watch" other deviants. This means that every time they submit a deviation or journal, it will appear in your Message Centre or devWatch Page for you to look at.
deviantART Groups
There are a wide range of groups/clubs within deviantART. These are groups of people who share a same interest and are able to chat about it without interuption from other subjects. It also enables you to meet other people who like the same things as you! * communities, along with ~Clubs-Club and a few other deviantGroups list these groups in their journals so that you can easily search for them. You can also start your own club if you like.
Other Useful Links
About Us - This link can be found at the bottom of most deviantART pages and usually shows a brief description of how deviantART was formed and the list of Admins that help run this place. I advise that you check them out occasionally for infomation on updates, competitions, events etc. that are not listed on the main page.
Today's Features - This link is updated every day and displays artwork that is seen as amazing. There are usually between 5 and 8 a day, and they are suggested by fellow deviants and selected by the admins.
Emoticons - These are little images that can be placed in various places on deviantART such as comments and journals. Examples are
deviantART's Main Page! - Not enough of is actually bother to look at this, even though it holds a wealth of infomation, polls and links to all over the site. It's where the recent news articles appear so please check it out regularly for updates.
Today Page - This page displays infomation about this day. Now. Today...and it displays a featured gallery every day, popular art and prints, a featured deviant, and popular journals and forum threads. It also shows new and active deviants on the site at this moment. I advise you to visit this first every time you visit deviantART.
The Shoutbox - Loved by some, hated by others. The shoutbox is here to stay! This is what deviants used to communicate in "Real Time" before dAmn was created. It refreshes every minute or so to display the current messages, or when you type a message. The Shoutbox's Official dAmn chatroom, #Shoutboxers, can be found here.
Random Deviant - This is a function that when clicked, will display a completely random deviant from the over 1 million users currently using deviantART. There is also a Random Deviation function that selects one of the (almost) 10 million deviations that reside on deviantART at this moment. The actual number can been seen ticking up on the deviantART homepage
